The present paper is an attempt to recommend a manuscript copy of a book under the title of " Ehya-e Ulum-e Din" ( which literally translates into revival of religious sciences). The book was transcribed and simultaneously corrected by a learned calligrapher, Esmail Maraghi, in Savojbolagh (now mahabad). The manuscript was dedicated to Budagh-Sultan, the then ruler of Mokarian, an area the principal city of which used to be Savojbolagh. However, the invaluable manuscript of his, like the myriad priceless works of Iranian origin which were earlier plundered, presently rests in the National Library of Cairo. The paper further elaborates on the status of works by Ghazali and Kordestani scholars, and men of thought in religious and theological fields, which constitute a major portion of the vast collection of Islamic writings and works.
