The story Ashghaldoni by Gholamhossein Saedi is one of the prominent examples of Iranian social literature that, by using a specific narrative style, has represented aspects of the ideology that governs society. The aim of the present study was to analyze the narrative style, point of view, and representation of ideology in this story based on Paul Simpson's theory. This study was conducted with a qualitative design and an analytical-descriptive approach. The research population included all Persian long stories with social and critical themes, and Ashghaldoni was selected as a targeted sample. The analysis was conducted based on Simpson's critical stylistic model, which focuses on three levels of narrative structure, subjective perspective, and ideology. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis method. The results showed that Saedi, by using a limited omniscient point of view, a sarcastic tone, and representing the characters' mentality, has criticized the oppressive structures and the passive state of society. Also, the use of specific linguistic symbols has reflected a kind of resistance ideology through the narrative. This research showed that the narrative style in Ashgabatuni functioned as an ideological tool and reinforced the author's social message through narrative form. Analysis based on Simpson's model allowed for a more precise understanding of the connection between language and ideology in literary texts.
