This essay, based on the views of Clarissa Pinkola Estes, is devoted to the examination of dreams symbols of Simin Daneshvar’s novel SARBAN SARGARDAN. Dreams, as a mysterious phenomenon, have always been a source of awe and wonder for human beings. They have caused many discussions and have been the subject of numerous writings and speeches. Dreams have been widely reflected in art and literature around the world and in addition to being one of the techniques used in artistic and literary creations, in a two-way process have also led to a better understanding of these works. Simin Daneshvar is one of those contemporary writers of Iran who have made the most and best creative use of dreams in their works, but have not had comprehensive reviews in this respect. This research, with descriptive and analytical method, and with the aim of providing a new and deeper analysis of the meanings of several dreams of SARBAN SARGARDAN novel from the perspective of post-Jungians and Estes, has tried to partially compensate for this shortcoming and by deciphering the symbols of these dreams, making possible to reach a new understanding of the story. In the end, it is concluded that the dreams of the story have played a crucial role in getting to know the characters, and they have also been a means to deliver the author’s messages to the reader, and this has made their existence important and necessary.
