The purpose of this essay is to explain and analyze the function of "Bakhtini's animal as another" in Sadegh Chubak's fiction. By proposing the theory of polyphony and defending the discourse of the center, Mikhail Bakhtin tried to bring the weak marginalized voices, including the voice of the "other" to the ears of the center And in this way, to "decentralize" the power and fight with "self-centered authoritarian discourses". Chubak, like Bakhtin, stood up against the single-voiced and self-centered discourse of her time through dialogue and giving credit to another's voice, thought, and voice. The main feature of Chubak's work lies in his literary naturalism; This naturalism made Chubak to use animal characters in the narrative as a thinking actor as another. In the following article, using Bakhtin's point of view, the function of animals in Sadegh Chobak's short stories has been analyzed by focusing on their manifestation in another position in a descriptive-analytical way. This study shows that by choosing animals as the characters of his stories and of course by giving them a place, Chubak has been able to remind people of the forgotten virtues and a step towards freeing them from authoritarian discourses. Self-centered. Animals, like others, in Sadegh Chubak's short stories, have found an extent equal to humanity. In this way, he also portrays the paternalistic complex of the 20th century man who is drowned in industry and technology.
