Monaghaz, son of Tammah, referred to as jomeih, was one of the rare arro- gant riders who was murdered on the day of jebleh some forty years before Islam. He was also a highly skilful poet. His poems are indicative of his subtle taste and bright nature. For instance, he artistically displays a simple misunderstanding between a married couple in twelve verse ode, pictures the complaints in a novel manner. The present paper attempts to deal with the translation of this ode as well as investigating it stylistically.
