Rhyme deficiencies in Masnavi Mawlana (rumi)

Rhyme deficiencies are Considered as a weak point in amateur poems, but it can be traced in the works of some famous poets. This does not mean that persian great and well- known poets were unable to use perfect rhyme but some of them like Jalal- Al- din-e Rumi have used deficiencies delibarately to show their focus on concept instead of rhyme and their major goal is the statement of the matter and use of word and rhythm. this point has been vividly mentioned by Mowlana in Masnavi and also in Kolleyat-e Shams. In this paper all kinds of rhythm deficiencies in the whole Masnawi are investigated and the number and percentage of each deficiency compared to the other rhyme deficiencies and also compared to all couplets of Masnawi are reviewed separately. In other words, all Masnawi couplets are reviwed separately and those couplets which have rhyme deficiencies have extracted and examples for each one are pointed out in this paper. Also Masnawis' different versions are compared with base version which is Nicolsons version and the couplets that their deficiencies are corrected by using the base version are mentioned.
