The Present Paper is intended to investigate the relationship between the Dome, as a religious symbol in Islam and many other religions , and the prevailing beliefs among nations. It is also the objective of the paper to determine the mythological role of the in the Persian poetry. Referring to beliefs in Hinduism ,as well as ancient myths of Egypt, symbolism of water and fire, together with certain asian beliefs, specially in southern Russia , attempts will made to pave way for a thorough investigation this
