In the domain of cognitive sciences and based on the theories of conceptual metaphor and mental spaces, Gilles Fauconnier and Mark Turner introduced the theory of conceptual blending in 2002. This research aims to employ the practical role of this theory in explaining the mechanism of generating creative metaphorical language in the poetry of Bidel Dehlavi, one of the foremost representatives of the Indian Style of theme-based poetry. By utilizing indicators such as mapping, vital relations, blending processes, and optimality principles, we seek to understand the mechanism through which poetry is created from everyday language units in one of his ghazals. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and the data have been collected using library resources.The research findings indicate that the presence of group metaphors or clusters of images in Biddle's poetry creates powerful hyper-blends that make it difficult to identify multi-domain spaces, mappings and vital connections between them in her words. Also, brevity, multiplicity of associations, anthropomorphizing abstract concepts and placing them in correspondence with objective situations, inverting conventional values, creating semantic paradoxes, and creating multilayered conceptual networks delay semantic unraveling.
