The present paper attempts to provide an excerpt of the story, and analyze it from various viewpoints. In this analysis, in addition to the tragic death of Rostam and the reasons behind it, merits of Ferdowsi’s work as well as his strong belief in determinism have all been dealt with.The paper also provides a thorough comparison between tha’alebi and Ferdowsi.
