With the beginnin!i, of Moslem reign in Bengal province from the beginning of 131 Century A.D. , equal to 7th Century H.Q., Islamic system of thought and education prevailed over, and Farsi and Arabic came into vogue. Farsi became the formal language, however, Arabic remained the language of religion. Qhazi Rokneddin-e Hanafi Bokhara'i who translated the book "Amrikund" from Sanskrit into Arabic and Farsi, was the first scholar with mastery over the Arabic language. Hundreds of books were written in Farsi and Arabic and thousands of schools were established. Generally speaking, prevalence of Farsi and the teaching of Arabic through Farsi and Islamic religion transferred the culture of Bengal from the ancient to the modern times.

"Kashf-ol-Asrar and Oddat-ol-Abrar" known as "Tafsir-e Khajeh Abdullah Ansari" is the most eloquent mystic interpretation in the Persian Literature. This interpretation dates back to the early 61h century H.Q. One of the stylistic features of this interpretation is the references made to Farsi and Arabic poetries. This interpretation includes approximately 800 Arabic poetry lines which could be analyzed from syntactic, lexical, formal, historical, and religious viewpoints.

The present paper is attempted to investigate the relationship between translatology, the scientific study of translating/translation, and linguistics and determine where it stands as opposed to other sciences within the framework of humanities. To achieve this, the paper will embark on introducing private and social languages. Then, reference will be made to translating and types. Later, the manner in which message is interpreted will be dealt with, leading to pausing the main question, the answer to which will indicate whether or not translatology should necessarily considered as a sub-branch of the study of language.

The purpose of this paper is to offer a critical reading of Simin Daneshvar's two recent novels, Jazireh Sargardani and Sareban Sargardan , which are in fact two volumes of a triology, in the light of the theories of postmodernism. I postulate that Daneshvar's thought-provoking experiments with postmodernist modes of writing have more often than not gone unexamined owing to a patriarchal blueprint in criticism that reduces her oeuvre to the works "written by a prominent male author's wife", thus denying her the critical recognition that she would have most certainly enjoyed had she not been a woman or had she had the tact to publish her works under a male pseudonym. Drawing on the theories of postmodernism advanced by such critics as Barry Lewis, Peter Wollen , David Lodge, Ihab Hassan and Douwe Fokkema (all of whom offer catalogues of postmodernist in fiction typically opposed to modernist poetica) as well as Brian McHale ( who borrows the Russian Formalist concept of "the dominant" to characterise postmodern ism's dominant feature as ontological); I argue that Daneshvar's recent novels could be read alongside these theories to demonstrate that her work exhibits postmodernist features.

A lot has been said about the role of translation in literature. Researchers involved in comparative literature are mostly interested in the relationship between the SL text and the its equivalent TL texts. They are skeptical about prescriptions issued on the basis of TL texts, and would rather study the SL text instead. This will be manifested in the two frameworks below: i- Writings on comparative literature ii- Conferences on comparative literature The present paper deals with the role of these two in translating and comparative literature.

Equivalence of Arabic "Hal" in Translated Texts

The Arabic "Hal" is comparable to the "Adverb of Manner" in Farsi both structurally and functionally. The three forms of "Hal" namely definite descriptions, utterances, sentences can be translated into Farsi in different manners. In Arabic, when "Hal" as a sentence is adjoined another sentence, it requires a "Vav-e Haliyye"; the same applies to Farsi when the adverb of manner is embedded in a sentence. However, in Farsi there are approximately ten different equivalents for the "Vav-e Haliyye".
